About
Hi! My name is Chantal Castro. I’m 28 years old and I work as a Human Resources Staff for a real estate company. I have been working there for almost 5 years. I’m also a proud working mom of an 11-month old baby girl named Vivian. My husband Mike works for a construction firm as a Supply Engineer. Mike and I have been married for 3 and a half years now. We live in a small town near the suburbs of Jackson, Mississippi.
Mike and I were born and raised here in Jackson and we’ve have never been elsewhere. We were planning to move into the city to explore and seek new opportunities for our careers but we are not too enthusiastic about the idea of raising our kids there.
The suburbs might be a very slow-paced environment but it is a wonderful place to raise kids. Family values are still intact and everybody knows everybody. And everybody just wants the place to be safe for everyone.
But sometimes I really wonder what it would have been like if we moved to another place like New York or Nevada. My husband and I talked about it before and we imagined that it would be very nice and exciting for the two of us. But when we thought of Vivian and how she would have to be exposed to different types of people and their different kinds of lifestyles, we always retreat and just think of the better things that we still enjoy while living here in a small town. We think it’s best for our little one to explore the world for herself but in her own pace and not ours.
